I live in Denton, Texas, located a few miles north of Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas. The prices I quote for the puppies is for pickup in the Denton/Ft. Worth/Dallas, Texas area. I will be glad to meet you at the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport at no extra charge, or drive to meet you within a 20 mile radius of my home on weekends (I work M-F). If you prefer that the puppy be sent to your airport, we can arrange Counter-to-Counter service from the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport via Continental Airlines to your airport for the cost of the shipping, a puppy crate with fleece pad and water/food dish and mandatory veterinarian certificate of health. I prefer Continental because their pet cargo area is air-conditioned and their transfer vans are air-conditioned also, which is important in Texas. When you choose your puppy, I will expect a half-down deposit within three working days in order to hold your puppy, which will be applied to the final price of the puppy. If your deposit is not in my mailbox on the fourth day, the puppy goes back on the market. This deposit is non-refundable unless the puppy should be found with congenital defects by your veterinarian. I offer limited AKC registration. I encourage responsible neutering. If you are a reputable breeder and want full AKC registration papers, please email me so that we can discuss whether I feel comfortable selling you a puppy. My prices depend on the pedigree, color, sex and breed-standard conformation of the puppy. When you choose a puppy you will pay half down and the rest two weeks before you pick up the puppy/the puppy is shipped. I will hold your choice after the deposit is received. I do not sell to puppy mills. I rescued my first Shih Tzu, Pearl, from a puppy mill. She was in deplorable condition, health-wise, emotionally and physically. She was less than two years old and pregnant with her fourth litter when I bought her. I spent a "fortune" on vet bills and grooming bills getting her to a semi-healthy state before she delivered the puppies. I gave the puppies away to friends, continued to nurse her until she was "fat" and healthy and found her a good home. This started my love for Shih Tzus. I will post photos of the puppies as soon as the mama-dog allows me to. You may visit your puppy at any time, but you may not "handle" the puppy until at least six weeks because of their still-developing immune systems (advice straight from my veterinarian). The puppy can go home with you when he/she is fully weaned, around 8-9 weeks AND weighs at least 2 lbs. or 10-12 weeks if being shipped. Please do not ask me to allow the puppy to go with you earlier than that. The health and safety of my "babies" is my primary concern at all times. I accept money orders, cash or checks, made out to Shirley McCaskill, for the deposit only, and money orders, cashiers check, Western Union wire or cash only for the final payment. I no longer accept PayPal because of stories from my breeder friends. If you are a puppy broker, puppy mill, or pet shop, please do not contact me. I will not sell you one of my puppies. If you are a breeder, please email me and we will discuss whether I feel comfortable selling you a puppy. Thank you. Shirley McCaskill shirley@shirleysshihtzus.com |
